Christmas for Sam
It was kind of weird how technically Cassie had had Christmas in a different place every year thanks to the islands magic. London had been pretty last year but Cassie was really enjoying New York. Especially the beautiful decorated apartment she shared with Sam. It was definitely a better job then she could have done on her own.
And now it was Christmas morning. She and Sam had spent a late morning in bed and then had a leisurely breakfast, also in bed. Cassie had taken then tray back to the kitchen and prepared a nest of pillows in front of the Christmas tree for opening presents. Spending the whole day in bed sounded like a great idea, but that didn't mean the whole day had to be in the same bed!
When she was done, she went back into the bedroom and pounced on Sam to pull him out of bed. "Come on, it's ready!"

Ignoring the tear, she reach over to run a finger along the car in his hands. "Tell me about him?" She knew what she saw in the movies she'd seen but there had to be more to Bumblebee then that.

Sam refused to talk about Bumblebee in the past tense. Somewhere his friend was still out there, helping keep Earth safe from Decepticons.
"And loyal. Not matter what, back home, he was always there for me."

"I wish I could meet him. He sounds like a good guy...robot...alien." She laughed softly, "You know what I mean. Anyone who has been there for you is okay by me."

"This is the absolute best thing you could have ever gotten me," he said, turning to smile at her again.

She looked up at him, letting her relief show in her eyes. "I'll admit...I was a little worried. I was afraid it might be insensitive, you know, a toy of your best friend." Of course, she lived in a world where there actually were action figures of her and her friends, but that was different. "So I'm really glad you like it."

"You don't ever have to worry about anything you give me," he told her, pulling her even closer. "You know me perfectly."
no subject
"Speaking of perfect, can we just stay here for while? I'm feeling just as close to perfect as you can get on Christmas." Of course there would be going out and seeing friends later, and there were people missing from the island, but right now...Cassie just wanted this moment with Sam to last as long as possible.
