Gender Switch Gathering Post

The Titans Treehouse was quiet early in the morning. The sun had not yet risen so most of the residents were still asleep. Or they were, until a loud shout tore through the air.

Cassie came bursting through her door, still dressed in her sweats and S-shirt pajamas, and while the shirt suddenly fit her a bit better, the sweats were too short. This would be because she was suddenly a he! She wasn't panicking exactly, but she wanted answers and she wanted them now. Yes, she'd been briefed that these kind of things happened, but being briefed and having them actually happen was a whole different thing. A whole different thing being mainly the thing between her legs she was pointedly ignoring.

As the others started drifting out of their rooms, she looked to the others who had been on the island for longer then a month. "Alright, someone explain, Now!" She said in her best Wonder Girl...Boy tone, frowning as her voice came out much rougher then normal.

Her mouth quirked into a half-smirk, "Good, there's hope for you after all."

The moment of levity passed quickly, "Bart and Cassie are going to need new clothes, I have some. If you're going to freak out, I'd appreciate it if you could keep it to a minimum until we get everything sorted out."

"Freak out? Why would I freak out? It's not like my best friend has breasts or anything, right? And apparently Bart does and..." Kon's jaw dropped a little when he realized just what Tim had said. Weakly he added, "Cassie?"

Oh god. If Cassie was involved in all of this, did that mean that she had a...

Kon really wasn't looking, looking, but his gaze couldn't seem to stay away from Tim's chest.

"Eyes up here, Kon," Tim said tiredly, sensing that this was going to be a problem. He mentally apologized to all the women he'd ever known and considered irrational for their annoyance. "Cassie's going to be a guy for a couple of days. It'll all go back to normal soon. And for the love of pete, they're just breasts. I didn't grow an extra head."

"But I should not consider my best friend pretty," Kon blurted before he could stop himself. He cursed silently to himself. That wasn't what he'd meant to say. He hadn't meant to say anything. And Cassie was a boy. What would that mean for their date? Reschedule until things went back to normal? Go on as planned? What?

Tim spent a moment trying to think back a year and a half to the last time this happened and what she'd seen in the mirror, "If memory serves, I am pretty. Believe me, you can't possibly be any more disturbed by noticing that I make a rather attractive girl than I am by noticing the same fact about myself." Preserving your modesty in the shower from yourself was a trick and a half. She wasn't looking forward to doing it again.

"At least it's your body. Sort of. And what do you mean if memory...was Bart..." Kon held up a hand. "No. No. Please don't tell me. I really don't want to think about that." Then he'd get images and he didn't want any more than he already had. More images were very bad. Any images at all were terrifying.

"In the mirror, Kon. I looked in a mirror," Tim responded dryly, "Bart wasn't here the last time this happened. Don't jump to conclusions, that's as bad as ignoring the evidence."

"You mean like jumping to the conclusion that you weren't Tim at first? Oh, I have no idea how I could have assumed that, seeing as you have long hair and breasts and most definitely don't sound like you do normally." Except for the inflection. That dry tone that Tim usually seemed to have. Or maybe that was just for him, who knew?
