Gender Switch Gathering Post

The Titans Treehouse was quiet early in the morning. The sun had not yet risen so most of the residents were still asleep. Or they were, until a loud shout tore through the air.

Cassie came bursting through her door, still dressed in her sweats and S-shirt pajamas, and while the shirt suddenly fit her a bit better, the sweats were too short. This would be because she was suddenly a he! She wasn't panicking exactly, but she wanted answers and she wanted them now. Yes, she'd been briefed that these kind of things happened, but being briefed and having them actually happen was a whole different thing. A whole different thing being mainly the thing between her legs she was pointedly ignoring.

As the others started drifting out of their rooms, she looked to the others who had been on the island for longer then a month. "Alright, someone explain, Now!" She said in her best Wonder Girl...Boy tone, frowning as her voice came out much rougher then normal.

Bart really didn't know what to say when she first set eyes on Tim. As a woman, he looked, well, really hot. If they'd still been together, it might have been interesting, but as it was...

"Count me in," she said, wondering if there was anything more to add.

Tim didn't stare because Tim was better trained than that. But she did reflect in the privacy of her own thoughts, that Bart made a remarkably attractive woman. And that nothing, apparently, put curves on a speedster--not even second X chromosome. "Good morning, Bart. How are you feeling?"

It really wasn't fair how nonplussed Tim seemed, even though Bart doubted its authenticity. She was pretty sure she didn't have an answer to the question, though.

Running a hand through her longer hair, Bart grimaced as her fingers caught. "Everything feels just a little...wrong, I guess. Nothing moves the way I'm used to, and it isn't just the height," she finally stated, not meeting Tim's eyes as she spoke. "Knowing this place, we'll turn back around the time I stop feeling like a complete klutz."

"I had the same problem the first time around. You're probably going to be more flexible but don't push it. You could hurt yourself pretty easily like this. Keep your training gentle today--meditation, katas and the like." Tim shoved her hair out of her face again, it had a habit of sliding in, inky black and messy. Long hair was so impractical.

"I suggest that you and Cassie head over to the compound, find some clothes and check in on the inhabitants to see if they're dealing with this well."

Bart gave a most unladylike snort at the idea of the general island inhabitants handling anything well.

"Run with me later?" she asked, instead. Even if neither of them were precisely normal, a mile or so couldn't hurt, right? "Not far, just...you know me."

Running meant putting on the extremely uncomfortable sports bra. But then again, she could hardly expect her Titans to do something she wasn't willing to do herself. "Sure, we'll do a couple miles. I want to check on the state of the island first but afterwards, it's going to be a worthless day to try to get anything done. Might as well run."

Bart nodded, since she didn't expect Tim to do anything less. "I hope this doesn't produce the kind of panic that power outage did. People here spook at the strangest things."

"I think they'll be all right with this one. It's happened before and they adapt quickly. Strangely quickly, to tell you the truth. I've often wondered about that." Tim shrugged, "It's still a good idea to do a sweep though."
